About Us

Civil Engineering Safety was established in 2002 by Managing Director Ben Edgley. Within the first month of business we received Limited status. Civil Engineering Safety Ltd at the time had only one employee, our MD Mr Edgley. Over the last seven years the company has steadily grown from servicing confined space safety equipment locally to the sale, hiring and servicing of equipment nationwide. In 2008 we branched into confined space and first aid training courses. To successfully achieve this expansion we moved premises; leaving a shared Industrial Unit in Huntingdon to a multi-functioning modern business Unit on the old RAF Base in Alconbury (find us). It is here we store and service our equipment, run our busy sales office and hold our in house training courses in our City and Guilds and Worksafe Approved Training Centre.

Civil Engineering Safety Ltd is a small family run business. The personal service that this enables us to offer all our customers has allowed us to build and maintain trust and confidence in our company. The exceptional service that we deliver to every client and potential client, intuitive management decisions and hiring of high quality staff has enable us to continually increase our output enhancing our annual sales. All of Civil Engineering Safety Ltd’s growth has been organic growth, which we believe highlights how good we are at what we do. We are currently at the height of our success, year on year our customer base has grown, along with our fleet of equipment and the competency and experience of our staff. We believe that we can carry on growing and expanding to meet any new market needs. We believe that we are successful because no company or job is too big or small for us to complete competently and on time.

Civil Engineering Safety Ltd have been assessed and approved by QMS International plc and accredited with OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

The facilities that we have are top of the range. At our onsite workshop we store and repair top of the range confined space safety equipment. As a company we adhere to all manufacturer and HSE legislation. We employ highly trained technicians who work on the road delivering and collecting equipment from our customers and who carrying out servicing and repairs onsite where requested. Our Managing Director, members of our sales team and trainers aim to visit all potential customers to discuss their business needs, what we can do for them and how they will benefit from our services. We find that the personal relationship this establishes with our clients builds the solid foundations needed for an ensuing successful business relationship.
We have an experienced risk assessor who is competent in carrying out full risk assessments followed by a safe system of work and bespoke training courses and equipment to the company’s individual needs.
